QUICK ANSWER

Cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge. A new paid subscription can be refunded within 7 days if usage is under 10% of the monthly message allowance. Duplicate, unauthorised or legally required refunds are always reviewed.

1. The short version

  • You can cancel a paid Clipaist Agent subscription at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not automatically refund the current billing period.
  • We offer a one-time, 7-day first-purchase refund on a new paid subscription if you have used only a small part of the included message allowance and ask us within 7 days of the first charge. The exact conditions are in Section 4.
  • After that, payments are generally non-refundable, except where the law gives you a mandatory right, we charged you in error, or we cannot provide the service you paid for.
  • Paddle is our merchant of record. Approved refunds are sent back to the original payment method through Paddle.

2. Free plans and launch access

  • The free tools and the launch Agent plan do not require payment. If you have not been charged, there is nothing to refund.
  • When a free launch or promotional period ends, we will give notice before charging. You can cancel before the first paid renewal if you do not want to continue.

3. Cancelling a subscription

  • Cancel from your account settings where available, or email [email protected] from the account email with the subject “Cancel subscription”. Include the Paddle transaction or subscription ID from your receipt if you have it.
  • We aim to confirm cancellation within two business days. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. If you cancel after a renewal has already been processed, the cancellation applies to the following period and the current period is not refunded unless Section 4 or applicable law applies.
  • After cancellation, paid features remain available until the end of the period you already paid for, unless your account is suspended for a Terms violation.

4. When we refund

  • First paid subscription: if you are a new paying customer, request a refund within 7 days of your first paid charge, and your workspace has used less than 10% of the included monthly message allowance, we will normally refund that first subscription charge. This is a one-time courtesy per customer and is not available for repeat subscriptions, upgraded plans or renewals.
  • Duplicate or unauthorised charge: if you were charged twice for the same period, or you did not authorise the charge, contact us and Paddle immediately. We will investigate and refund a confirmed duplicate or unauthorised charge.
  • Service failure: if a paid feature is unavailable for a sustained period because of our error and we cannot provide a reasonable workaround, contact us. We may provide a pro-rata credit or refund for the affected period.
  • Legal rights: if the law where you live gives you a right to cancel or a refund that we cannot exclude, we will honour it. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

5. When we do not refund

  • Change of mind after the 7-day first-purchase window, or after you have used a material part of the service.
  • Unused time after you cancel a monthly or annual renewal, except where Section 4 or mandatory law applies.
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for breach of the Terms, spam, illegal content, payment fraud, chargeback abuse or misuse.
  • Third-party costs, add-ons, custom setup, WhatsApp or integration work that has already been delivered, unless the deliverable is defective and we cannot fix it.
  • Requests made through a payment method or account that we cannot verify as yours.

6. How to request a refund

  • Email [email protected] with the subject “Refund request”. Include the account email, Paddle transaction or subscription ID, the charge date and amount, and a short reason.
  • We may ask for information to verify the account and the charge. We aim to respond within two business days. If approved, Paddle will return the amount to the original payment method; banks and card issuers usually take 5–10 business days to show the credit.
  • If your request is declined, we will explain the reason and point you to the relevant section of this policy. If you disagree, you can ask for a second review or use any remedy available under applicable law.

7. Mandatory consumer rights

  • Some countries, including EU and UK consumers in certain circumstances, give a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Where that right applies to a digital service, it may end when supply begins if you expressly consent to immediate access and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right. We will show any required acknowledgement at checkout.
  • If a mandatory right applies, it overrides the general rules above. To exercise it, email us within the required period with enough detail to identify the purchase.

8. Paddle and payment processing

  • Paddle acts as merchant of record for paid Clipaist plans. Paddle handles the payment, applicable taxes, receipts and the refund transaction. Your card statement may show Paddle or a Paddle-associated descriptor.
  • Paddle’s buyer terms and privacy policy also apply to the payment. If you cannot reach us, use the Paddle support link on your receipt and include the transaction ID.
  • We do not store full card numbers or payment credentials.

9. Chargebacks

  • Please contact us before opening a chargeback. Most billing issues can be fixed faster by cancellation or a refund review, and a chargeback can suspend access while the bank investigates.
  • If you open a chargeback, we may provide Paddle and the card issuer with the transaction, usage and communication records needed to respond. We may suspend the account until the dispute is resolved. Fraudulent or repeated chargeback abuse may lead to permanent termination.

10. Changes and contact

  • We may update this policy as the plans or law change. The date above shows the latest version. For a material change, we will provide notice on the site or by email where appropriate. The policy in effect when you were charged applies to that charge, unless the law requires otherwise.
  • Billing and refund questions: [email protected]. Privacy requests: use “Privacy request” in the subject. Terms of Service: /terms. Privacy Policy: /privacy-policy.
